That Dashing Vision
Envision a place where your dog goes running inside to meet their groomer and leaves tail wagging full of confidence; That Dashing Dog is where that magic happens. I enjoy building a relationship with each individual dog and that is why I prefer to groom on a one-on-one basis. I can spend the time to make sure each dog is comfortable with the process and teach them that grooming isn’t scary and that it can be an enjoyable experience. I love seeing the progress of a new-to-me dog from being scared of grooming to really feeling themselves after leaving the salon. Some of my doggie-clients even fall asleep during the drying process because they are so relaxed!
By building strong bonds between my doggie-clients, I can provide quality care with attention to detail. I have worked in a variety of situations over the past 10+ years of professional grooming. I even owned my own salon in California from 2017-2020. I moved back to the East Coast to be with family (I grew up in Buffalo NY and Justin grew up in Briarcliff Manor NY; we met at Cornell) at the end of 2020. Since moving back I have been hand-stripping a handful of amazing terriers and styling a few fluffy friends from my home. I have been looking over the years for a retail space to make That Dashing Dog a reality, and finally found 140 King Street in Chappaqua NY.
My years of grooming experience have showed me that I prefer to have a quiet, one-on-one location that is conducive to calm happy dogs. That Dashing Dog is a place where your dog is going to be treated like they are part of my family. I will ensure that safety is a top priority, no steps are skipped in the process, and your dog is comfortable. I will not hesitate to refuse a service or stop a service if there is a safety risk to your animal or my health. I will also be very communicative about the grooming process so that you understand how to properly maintain a coat style or train for certain behaviors that will make grooming easier for your dog and myself. Dogs who need to be groomed should be able to enjoy being groomed; That Dashing Dog will make that happen.
